Laura Mills is a Claims Manager. Laura began her career as an insurance defense and coverage attorney with a national law firm based in Chicago. Before joining AmTrust in 2017, Laura handled lawyers’ professional liability claims at CNA. Since joining AmTrust, she has handled and managed real estate agents, lawyers, architects and engineers, and various other professional liability claims from coast to coast. Laura has spoken on panels at numerous insurance and legal industry conferences, including CLM, New York State Bar Association, and American Bar Association events. Laura earned her law and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan.

Sallie Kraus is a Complex/Specialty Claims Adjuster. An attorney, she began her career in Environmental Claims at AIG in NY and has handled complex environmental, asbestos, and management liability claims for reinsurers including General Re, SCOR and AXA. She joined AmTrust in 2016 and handles lawyers professional and real estate professional liability claims. Sallie received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, a Master of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut.  Before attending law school, she work in planning and public finance, including real estate and transportation projects.

Thomas Rae is a Complex/Specialty Claims Adjuster. He has more than 30 years of nationwide experience handling complex, high-exposure Professional Liability and other claims at companies including Markel, The Doctors Company, OMSNIC (Formerly AAOMS National), and ISMIS. Tom has handled such claims as medical professional liability and allied health, real estate agents and brokers, attorney professional liability, architects and engineers’ liability, financial institutions, condominium association, title insurance, employer liability, mortgage services contractor, class action, general liability, and property damage. Tom has hosted a webinar, and authored newsletter articles for Ultra Risk Advisors. He has also presented on the root causes of litigation for the College of American Pathologists.

Joanne Snow is a Complex/Specialty Claims Adjuster. An attorney, Joanne was in private practice with a Chicago area law firm before joining AmTrust in 2015. During her time in private practice, Joanne represented and counseled both international and domestic insurers in professional liability coverage matters, including D&O, E&O, and EPL.  Joanne has experience in handling the following types of professional liability claims:  Real Estate Agents, Lawyer, Private and Public D&O, Fiduciary Liability, Financial Institutions, Architects and Engineers, Broker/Dealer, Accountants, and Miscellaneous E&O.  Joanne’s background also includes Employment Practices Liability, Fidelity Bonds, and Commercial General Liability.

Meghan Welch is a Complex/Specialty Claims Adjuster. She handles professional liability claims against attorneys, real estate agents, and accountants. Prior to joining AmTrust, Ms. Welch practiced law at a Chicago area law firm for several years. While practicing, she gained a wide range of litigation and insurance coverage experience working on matters including UCC and banking litigation, reinsurance disputes, and professional liability coverage disputes. Her work in private practice also included managing E&O, D&O and EPL claims for health insurance companies, lawyers and insurance agents.
